Bryan Brown - Owner
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Bryan is a Lincoln High baseball alumni who spent his career playing shortstop. He received a baseball scholarship to TCC where he lead the Eagles for two years before he traveled to Florida Southern College where he was drafted by the Houston Astros Organization. Bryan has been perfecting his coaching technique since 2011, and has helped players advance at all levels. His dedication, commitment, and knowledge of the game has helped players hone their skills and stand out among the competition.
Chris Chavez
Pitching Instructor
Chris played 6 years of professional baseball in three different organizations. He pitched 225 games professionally in which he had 80 saves, a career 2.50 ERA, and averaged 10.8 strikeouts per nine innings. In 2002, he helped Team USA to the silver medal in the Pan Am games in Mexico. He was also a three time All-Star, and a two time Relief Pitcher of the year. He was a First Team All-American at Florida State University in 1999, and is the last pitcher to throw an individual No-Hitter at FSU. In Chris' four years at FSU, he helped take FSU to the College World Series three times, and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1999. His 1.22 ERA ranks 11th all time in the College World Series history.
Frank Johnson
Softball Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Frank has been involved in Fastpitch softball since 1992, has coached both high school softball as well as Powermill's 12U and 18U travel ball teams, and has had success sending players to college. He had the pleasure of working with Frank Burke, founder of travel softball in Tallahassee and the Tallahassee Merchants. Frank believes that sports teach young people life skills that make them better people by learning to set goals, work towards those goals, work within a team concept, and identify and solve problems.
Nick Francis
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Nick is a former 7 year Major League baseball player with the KC Royals organization who started his career at Godby High School and FSU where he played all positions. Since the end of his playing career, Nick has concentrated on giving back to the game he loved through teaching. He is uniquely qualified to illustrate technique and approach through all phases of the game.
Chipper Andzel
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Chipper was a 4 year starter at Chiles High School who played Junior College Ball at Santa Fe State College. He finished his last two years at Valdosta State, and was captain of his team his senior year. He can help any player enhance their hitting or fielding abilities, and runs an advanced hitting group on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Brandon Davidson
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Brandon is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who is currently studying Sports Medicine at Keiser University. He provides hitting and fielding lessons for players ages 6-18 every day of the week, is a camp instructor, and has coached rec ball as well as travel ball teams.
Josh Blount
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Josh is from Chattahoochee, FL and was a 4 year letterman on his varsity baseball team, earning both offensive and defensive player of the year accolades during his time there. He is constantly developing his coaching technique and knowledge by studying the games best players and coaches, in hopes of improving his clients skills. Josh is committed to developing young players and teaching them the fundamentals of hitting, catching, and fielding so they will be better equipped to reach their goals.
Kyle Jowers
Hitting & Fielding Instructor/ Speed & Agility Trainer
Kyle was a four-year starter at Leon High School, and received offers from Anderson University (South Carolina), Cornerstone (Michigan), and Northland College (Wisconsin). Jowers had to 'hang it up' after he tore his shoulder the summer following his senior year. He quickly turned all of his energy, effort, and love for the game into developing young talent in the Tallahassee area. For the past four years Jowers has done a tremendous job with Leon's JV team, helping lead them to two out of five JV championship games. He has an old school approach, with a new age mind, which gives him an easy way to relate. His goal is to lead and develop young players to become the best that they can be.
Peyton Coleman
Pitching Instructor
Peyton was a 3-year letterman at Collierville High School in Collierville, TN. He was a pitcher, catcher, and outfielder for the elite program. He participated in the Tennessee State Tournament twice, winning the championship his junior season in 2013. After high school, he pitched at Chattanooga State Community College on scholarship, and then moved on to pitch and play outfield at Southwest TN Community College. He has always had a genuine passion for the game, and he has found a love for coaching and instructing while working as a camp instructor in high school and college. He has worked with players of all ages and skill levels.
Deven Heard
Hitting, Fielding, & Pitching Instructor
Deven played High School baseball at Taylor County High School. After High School, he immediately jumped into the coaching profession and became the head Middle School baseball coach for Taylor County Middle School. After TCMS, Deven accepted a varsity assistant coaching position at Florida High, where he is currently the Florida High Junior Varsity Coach. He has experience coaching a variety of age levels, and is passionate about helping young players grow and develop on and off the field.

Jason Dodson
Baseball Pitching Instructor
Jason was a four year starter at Leon High School and received scholarship offers from Wallace CC-Dothan, Tallahassee CC, Southeastern University, Warner University, Montreat College Felician College, Cornerstone College, and Dominican College; along with PWO offers from Chipola College, St. Johns River CC, Stetson University, and The University of Miami. He signed with Wallace Community College-Dothan after graduating in 2014. In his first year at Wallace CC, he underwent Tommy John surgery which led to a transfer to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. Jason pitched at Embry-Riddle for two years before finishing his playing career at Middle Georgia State University. Since the end of his playing career, he has been helping coach a few Powermill teams, and dedicated himself to helping baseball players reach their goals.
Ian Rice
Catching, Fielding, & Hitting Instructor
Ian was drafted by St. Louis cardinals out of high school (Madison academy in Alabama) but chose to attend 2 years at Chipola Junior College where he was drafted by Red Sox in 2014. He went to the University of Houston for one year of school before he was drafted and signed with the cubs in 2015. Ian started in double A All Star, finished in triple A last year, and is currently doing catching,fielding, and hitting lessons in his off season.
Malachi Mitchell
Speed, Strength, Conditioning, and Agility Instructor
Malachi is a former middle infielder and outfielder for FAMU, and Shortstop at Savannah State University. Batting .409, 3 doubles, 14 Stolen bases, and 3 strikeouts. He was the Hitting and Outfield coach at Savannah State, Infield Coach for Elite Gold Gainesville 9U-13U Travel Ball, and is the proud son of 3x Olympian and 2x World champion former world record holder, Dennis Mitchell. Malachi has
6 years of experience in improving speed, agility and strength, and has a personal best of 6.24 60 yard dash, and 4.28 40 yard dash, and a 520 lb deadlift. He can consult with players on how to increase size, weightlifting, increase throwing and hitting velo, and offers diet plans and body care.

Darnell Sweeney

Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Darnell is originally from south Florida where he graduated from American Sr. High. He declined signing with the Marlins to attend the University of Central Florida, where he started at shortstop for 3 years. In 2012, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and began his journey through the minors. In 2015, Darnell was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies where he made his big league debut. With his experience and knowledge of the game, Darnell can take your player to the next level.
Nate Antone

Pitching Instructor
Nate is our newest pitching instructor who played college baseball at Potomac State College in 2011, West Virginia University 2012-2013, and had his Pro debut with Gary South Shore 7/27/17. Over a course of four professional seasons, Nate has faced 455 batters giving up 81 hits (.178 BAA) striking out 111 batters, while walking 57 (1.95 SO/W) with a 2-2 record and a 3.00 ERA in 108 innings pitched.
