Bryan Brown - Owner
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Bryan is a Lincoln High baseball alumni who spent his career playing shortstop. He received a baseball scholarship to TCC where he lead the Eagles for two years before he traveled to Florida Southern College where he was drafted by the Houston Astros Organization. Bryan has been perfecting his coaching technique since 2011, and has helped players advance at all levels. His dedication, commitment, and knowledge of the game has helped players hone their skills and stand out among the competition.
Chris played 6 years of professional baseball in three different organizations. He pitched 225 games professionally in which he had 80 saves, a career 2.50 ERA, and averaged 10.8 strikeouts per nine innings. In 2002, he helped Team USA to the silver medal in the Pan Am games in Mexico. He was also a three time All-Star, and a two time Relief Pitcher of the year. He was a First Team All-American at Florida State University in 1999, and is the last pitcher to throw an individual No-Hitter at FSU. In Chris' four years at FSU, he helped take FSU to the College World Series three times, and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1999. His 1.22 ERA ranks 11th all time in the College World Series history.
Softball Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Frank has been involved in Fastpitch softball since 1992, has coached both high school softball as well as Powermill's 12U and 18U travel ball teams, and has had success sending players to college. He had the pleasure of working with Frank Burke, founder of travel softball in Tallahassee and the Tallahassee Merchants. Frank believes that sports teach young people life skills that make them better people by learning to set goals, work towards those goals, work within a team concept, and identify and solve problems.
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Nick is a former 7 year Major League baseball player with the KC Royals organization who started his career at Godby High School and FSU where he played all positions. Since the end of his playing career, Nick has concentrated on giving back to the game he loved through teaching. He is uniquely qualified to illustrate technique and approach through all phases of the game.
Harrison was a pitcher at Chiles high school from 2014-2017 and was drafted by the Arizona Diamond backs in the fourth round of the MLB draft from 2017- 2021. He has been playing professionally since 2017 and is now playing professionally in the American Association. With his numerous lessons learned throughout his career his goal now is to give back and instill his knowledge to players of the Tallahassee area.
Hitting & Catching Instructor
Tucker is from Winter Garden, FL, and moved to Tallahassee in the fall of 2016 to play baseball at TCC. He played two years at TCC (2017-2018) and was a two year starter (2018 all conference tourney team.) Tucker transferred to Famu after he graduated from TCC where he played three years at FAMU (2019-2021) and was a three year starter (2019 MEAC 2nd team all conference.) He then went on to play in the USPBL independent pro league on the Utica Unicorns (won championship.) He currently offers catching and hitting lessons for any age at The Powermill.
Catching, Fielding, & Hitting Instructor
Ian was drafted by St. Louis cardinals out of high school (Madison academy in Alabama) but chose to attend 2 years at Chipola Junior College where he was drafted by Red Sox in 2014. He went to the University of Houston for one year of school before he was drafted and signed with the cubs in 2015. Ian started in double A All Star, finished in triple A last year, and is currently doing catching,fielding, and hitting lessons in his off season.

Coach Cullen is a Tallahassee native graduating from Lincoln High School class of 2020, where he received an academic baseball scholarship to Thomas University in Thomasville, GA. He went on to play middle infield in college at Thomas University, and moved back to Tallahassee to finish his degree locally. Cullen grew up with Bryan Brown as a baseball mentor and is now ready to give back to the baseball community in Powermill Training Academy. Cullen works with players aged 6 to 12 and specializes in hitting and fielding lessons.
Hitting, Slapping, & Fielding instructor
Dominique is from Corpus Christi Texas, she began her softball career at King high school where she received first team all district honors throughout her high school career. After high school, she played for Ole Miss in 2016 going on to win an SEC tournament. She then transferred to Duke University where she played the remaining 4 seasons of her softball career, winning another conference tournament, this time in the ACC. She is currently pursuing a masters in sport psychology at Florida State and now incorporates mental skills training in her lessons for players to apply on and off the field.
Nick Gray is a lifelong resident of Tallahassee and began his career at Florida High under two legendary high school coaches; Jeff Hogan and John Hollenbeck. Nick was the 2-time FACA 3A Player of the Year, a 2-Time 1st Team All-State Selection, and 2- Time 1st Team All Big-Bend Selection. Nick went on to be drafted and later attended North Florida College and Mississippi Delta Community College where he was an All-Conference Selection and gain All-American honorable mention status at both schools. After junior college he attended Thomas University setting numerous offensive school records including the school’s all-time homerun leader. Coach Gray later served the United States Army and served 16 months in combat attached to the 2nd Armored Calvary Regiment in Iraq. Nick as a coach has coached at the College and High School level and had numerous players go on to play in college as well as professional baseball. Nick's eye for talent and his ability to develop players it was separates him from others.
Brad played baseball at Wakulla High for 4 years until graduating in 2018. During his senior year he was named Big Bend Pitcher of the Year. After high school he began his college career at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, FL. When his freshman season ended, he transferred to Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL for his sophomore year. After completing his time at Santa Fe, he accepted an offer to play at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. At South Florida he was a starting pitcher for 2 years. During that time, he contributed to the Bulls record setting 2021 season by winning their conference championship and the Gainesville Regional against the University of Florida, Miami, and
South Alabama. After that the Bulls went on to their first ever Super Regional where they faced the University of Texas Longhorns. Brad was drafted in the 18th round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals and is currently pitching in the Nationals minor league organization. Brad looks
forward to giving you elite level instruction and helping reach your maximum potential.

Mat Nelson is from Largo, FL and began his career at Calvary Christian High School from 2014-2018. After Graduation he played for Florida State University from 2019- 2021. He began playing All American in 2022 and went on to earn Buster Posey Collegiate catcher of the year, Perfect game player of the year, ACC player of the year, and left his college career with 23 home runs. Coach Nelson currently plays for the Cincinnati reds after being the 1st round 35th over all pick. Coach Nelson Looks forward to pushing your player to their max potential.
Coach Dj is a North Florida local and played for Aucilla high school from 2012-2016. Upon Graduation he went on to play for Pensacola State from 2017-2019 where he won 2nd all team conference. DJ then played for Troy University and later FAMU from 2021-2022. DJ is currently pursuing an FA baseball career while training all players of the Tallahassee area.
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Coach Brody began his career at Palm Beach Central High School from 2018-2022. Prior to graduation coach Brody had offers from Embry-riddle and was a Tallahassee Community College PWO. He earned District 2ne baseman Junior & Senior year, and was HSBN All-American Second Baseman. Coach Brody now gives lessons to the younger demographic of the Tallahassee area looking to pass on his knowledge and skill.
